Traditional Wood Working: The Art of Making by Hand

This class is an invitation to create—to turn wood, through patience and hard work, wood into something useful and beautiful. Using classic hand tools and simple materials, students will learn the fundamentals of woodworking as they craft practical projects. Along the way, they’ll discover the deep satisfaction of making with their own hands and gain the confidence to keep building long after the semester ends.

The Collective Vocal Ensemble 6th - 12th

Make a joyful noise! In this vocal ensemble, students will learn harmony, blend, and performance skills while singing popular favorites (Golden anyone?), Disney hits, and Broadway tunes.  We'll even take our music "on the road" to share with local nursing homes (which can count for HS service hours). A fun, uplifting way to earn a performing arts credit-- and spread joy through song!

In this course led by Josh Huisman, pastor of Crosswalk Church in Brentwood, and a John C. Maxwell certified leadership coach, Developing the Leader Within You will start your student on a successful path of personal growth, with a focus on becoming a person influence, character, and creativity! Students will form important life skills that will shape their attitude toward becoming a positive change-agent in the world. The time-tested, proven principles in Developing the Leader Within You will be instrumental in developing your student into the best leader God created them to be!
