Historic Polk House

Vine high school students can visit the historic Polk House, the home of President James K Polk, in nearby Columbia.

Learn about a fascinating and pivotal time in U.S. history through the life and legacy of our 11th President. Our docents are passionate about history and this community, and ready to lead you on an educational journey through the Polk Home. Then explore the Sisters’ House, Polk Presidential Exhibit Hall, Garden, and Kitchen. Bring your questions and your curiosity!
